Good To You

This is personally, I think, the best song by
Marianas Trench (featuring Kate Voegele):

"Everyone's around, no words are coming now
And I can't find my breath, Can we just say the rest with no sound?
And I know this isn't enough, I still don't measure up
I know I'm not prepared; sorry is never there when you need it

And I do want you to know
I'll hold you up above everyone
And I do want you to know
I think you'd be good to me
And I'd be so good to you
I would

I thought I saw a sign somewhere between the lines
But maybe it's me, maybe I only see what I want
I still have your letter, just got caught between
Someone I just invented, who I really am and who I've become

And I do want you to know
I'll hold you up above everyone
And I do want you to know
I think you'd be good to me
And I'd be so good to you
I would

And I do want you to know
I'll hold you up above everyone
And I do want you to know
I think you'd be good to me
And I'd be so good to you

I'd be good to you
I'd be good to you
I'd be good to you
I'd be so good to you...
I'd be so good to you..."

Analysis of Croc Dream?

This was the beast I dreamt of

So, in the dream I was just opening the front door of my house to walk out - and ended up seeing this huge beast right outside. Freaked out I tried to close the door on it but it just kept pushing back... I managed to close it and caught a glimpse of my surroundings - the living room walls were made up of entirely glass, like the window-wall-things you get in shopping malls. (And this is not how my living room actually looks like) and outside I remember seeing a grassy place with ponds (this is also not how the outside of my house is like). But anyway, the croc had moved somewhere else around the outside of my house at this point, and my mom, my sister and I managed to escape to our car and drove away – except we got to this cross junction, (which doesn’t exist right outside the gates of my house) and in the middle of the junction, right at the centre was a sign which said something along the lines of, "Residents nowadays pay RM3000 for a crocodile to keep in their backyard"... I think it was meant to be a fashionable thing or something – whatever. Anyway, I don’t remember the middle bit, but I remember afterwards my dad came in the dream, and he was driving us back home – and our house didn’t even look like my house now – it was a hut, in the middle of this almost resort thing, with a jungle theme, and there was this pool right out at the front where this crocodile was in - the crocodile was HUGE I’m telling you – but anyway there were these men surrounding the croc trying to control it and get it out because apparently the croc we bought hadn’t been trained, and therefore was wild and dangerous... and one man fell into the pool and the croc tore him up to pieces, and there was blood everywhere and I could hear that man screaming.... it was really... bloodcurdling...

So.... the analysis:

"To see a crocodile in your dream, symbolizes treachery, deceit, and hidden instincts. It may be a signal for you to take a new perspective on a situation. It may also represent your ability to move between the material world of waking life and the emotional, repressed world of the unconscious. Alternatively, the crocodile represents healing powers and qualities. A crocodile also suggests that you are thick-skinned or insensitive.
To dream that you are running away from the crocodile (which was what I was doing), indicates that you are unwilling to confront some painful and disturbing aspect of your unconscious. There is some potentially destructive emotion that you are refusing to acknowledge and owning up to."

And the blood...

"It is the life-giving, vital part of our physiology and it may symbolize our strengths and weaknesses and our physical and mental health. If you are currently experiencing a very difficult time in your life, you may have dreams with bloody and frightening images.

To see blood flowing from a wound, physical ailments and worry. Bad business caused from disastrous dealings with foreign combines"

That's something to think about...

Zamzar

I have a lot of songs I want to download, but I don't want to pay for them. There's just too many TO pay for. A friend showed me this website which is F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C for downloading music for free. It's not like any of those crap-download-music-for-free sites where it takes forever to find a song, and most of the time you can't find that specific song you want. Nor is it one of those sites that just slows your computer down to the point I start banging things around in frustration... I know there must be a lot of music sites out there that are pretty good for downloading music for free, and if you know any, you can laugh at me BUT I LOVE THIS SITE.

So, if you don't know any good sites to download free music from, try this site. Just use youtube to find the song you want.

Write on the hill - Where did it come from?

My old school, Fortismere is directly on top of a hill. It is one of the best top 20 schools in the UK. It has a little motto, "Write on the hill." Clever isn't it? Because the school is right on the hill, and we are writing on the hill. Anyway...

This is just the entrance to North Wing. There are two wings, South and North wings. And the school is... massive. I remember my mom describing it "as big as a University." Which is true. There are two massive fields, an astro, a tennis court, two gyms (One in South, and the other in North), a netball court and a basketball court in between the two wings. South wing is 4 floors high, with a bridge linking to a science block which is next to it. (Easy transport, eh...) A canteen nearby, and a concrete space which we call a playground, but really isn't, because we have benches to eat out lunch, not swings and slides, (well... considering it is a secondary school).

North Wing is much smaller. It is only two floors, and attached to the building is another canteen. Directly in front of the North wing building is the dance studio (the size of a gym). In the middle is another so called "playground" where guys usually play football or basketball during lunchtimes.

I feel proud of going to this school, because it is so far the best school I've ever been to (considering I've been to about 6 different schools). :)

If only he could walk on water

Moore

Saved the life of a kid having a sudden asthma attack in the pool - he isn't even a lifeguard. Too bad I haven't got a photo of him hauling the kid out.

MerCarry my McCarry

One name: McCarry

Here's another one

Yes he does try to hide his face a lot, I think this photo explains why :)

McCarry = my running-away-to-live-in-the-jungle-after-we-fail-exams-buddy

Go chica
Get banana
Hey monkey
Get funky
Swing along Tarzan

That's our back-up plan if all else fails, which I'm sure won't, but a back-up plan is always a good thing to have - just in case.

Living On The Hill... [MUSWELL HILL]

A small town - Muswell Hill

So, I was out in the broadway, with a digital camera. I must've looked like a tourist when in fact I lived on this very hill.

And so... quoting the saying, "First impressions are not always right..." This church is not a church... in fact it is the local English pub, O'Neil! I only just found out the day I went to explore Muswell Hill Boradway... and to think I knew this place quite well from living here for about five years...

This is the view from the top of the hill... It was a very sunny day, so the view was pretty cool I thought... it was more impressive when I was there, than on this photo

Never really looked at the houses properly... and now I noticed that they all look like steps going down as the hill goes down... intriguing...

I never noticed the shops as much before... look, that's our car, right outside of that Clinton's stationary and gifts shop - that blue coloured one. I should keep my eyes open for anything else I haven't yet noticed which would usually be right in front of my nose... I reckon I should get into Photography.

I Got You

"Ain’t falling a part, or bitter
Let’s be bigger than that and remember
The cooling outdoor when you’re all alone
We’ll go on surviving
No drama, no need for a show
Just wanna say
I got you
Go ahead and say goodbye
I’ll be alright
Go ahead and make me cry
I’ll be alright
And when you need a place to run to
For better for worse
I got you"

Leona Lewis. Her new album speaks to me. (Yes I am back into blogging after a whole year of disappearing).

"So we take it each moment our love grows
I see it, you see it,
What we have is made of gold
We're so filled with meaning,
Nothing can make us shallow.
So I hold it, and you hold it
The promise of tomorrow.
When we make love its overwhelming
I just touch the heavens.
You're an angel, you're an angel

And I said this world, this world
Could leave us anyday
But my love for you, it will never go away"

I used to not appreciate her songs, as her voice annoyed me, but when a friend lent me her CD i was surprised how overwhelmed I got from listening to just the first song which made me listen to the others. I guess her previous album hadn't been so good.

"Even though I
Never met you
I still miss you
I can see you in my dreams
And I hope that
When you read this
Just maybe you'll remember me"

I'm not quite sure why that one got to me.

But enough of the lyrics, my point is, I recommend those who dislike Leona Lewis because of 'Bleeding Love' to take a chance and listen to her new CD, "Echo". This new album had been one of the few albums and songs that inspired me further in writing my novel which is the first of a series of four..

There is an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) in which I am writing a novel for it - I'm actually halfway through it, considering I had about half a year so far to do it. The qualification ends around April, and I don't think I'd be able to complete the whole thing. So I'd be submitting the incomplete novel, and continueing it anyway for my own interests.

Hopefully I'd have time to update this blog, and I'm thinking of posting something up once every week, maybe every Fridays - so keep an eye on this blog :)
